Az alapítvány feletti általános a törvényességi felügyeletet nyilvántartó bíróság látja el. Az ügyészség az ügyészségről szóló törvényrendelkezései szerint törvényességi ellenőrzést gyakorol. Az adóellenőrzést az adóhatóság, az államháztartástól származó támogatás felhasználásának ellenőrzését törvény eltérő rendelkezésének hiányában az Állami Számvevőszék, az állami vagy önkormányzati költségvetésből, illetve a nemzetközi forrásokból juttatott támogatás felhasználásának ellenőrzését a külön jogszabály szerinti ellenőrzési szervezet látja el.
Az alapítvány éves bevételen nem haladja meg az ötvenmillió forintot, ezért a vezető szervtől elkülönült felügyelő szerv létrehozására nem kerül sor. Amennyiben az alapítvány éves bevétele a jövőben meghaladná az ötvenmillió forintot, felügyelő szerv létrehozásáról az alapító okirat módosításával rendelkezés történik.

„Sérült Gyermekekért és Fiatal Felnőttekért” Alapítvány
Az alapítvány létrejöttét a Szent Rita Fogyatékosok Otthonában élő két lakó édesanyja és édesapja álmodta meg. A tervet 2000. január 27-én meg is valósították. Ezen a napon ugyanis aláírták az Alapítvány Alapító Okiratát.
